Benefit Instant Comeback Serum First Impression | Daily Bow

Lately I have been really wanting to try some new things, especially when it comes to a skin routine. Although I luckily do not suffer with much bad skin, my skin care routine is a little boring and I think it needs livening up a bit.
Recently I went into my local Boots store to ask for some information on the new Benefit Instant Comeback Serum and was very fortunate to be able to try it. The lady on the counter offered me the option to have a full skin routine test using Benefits new face products so of course I said yes.

First thing she did was show me the Benefit Instant Comeback Serum bottle which I just instantly fell in love with! It's a gorgeous vintage bottle with a cork effect top and blue tinted glass. Despite not trying the product yet, I was already in favor of this bottle being sat on my bedroom shelf for decoration - its just too cute! The bottle contains 30.0mL / 1.0 US fl. oz of product which I felt could perhaps be bigger for the price, although saying that I do think this product will last a long time.

Benefit claim that " Instant comeback face serum instantly boosts the youthful look of skin...firming, smoothing, energising and protecting against visible signs of aging." But did it achieve this?

She then applied it to my cleansed face and I was surprised at how light weight it felt. I'm not a lover of putting things on my face but this was just gorgeous. After a long morning at work, this serum instantly made me feel fresher and more awake. It makes your face feel so smooth and soft. It was like having a facial at a spa. My face felt cleaner and tighter. I can honestly say that it does what it claims to do on the bottle. I was also surprised at how little of the product she had to use to cover my face. She literally used a tiny dot and it spreaded across my face effortlessly. That is why I think you would only use a small amount of product and it would last a long time. After this she then used the Benefit Total Moisture Facial Cream which I will be reviewing another time.

So lets talk the price? I understand and know that Benefit products are long lasting and always worth the money (from my experience) but will I be purchasing this? I really enjoyed experiencing this product for the first time but can't help feeling a little disappointed by the price which was £36.00. For an every day face serum I actually think this is quite expensive and I wish it was more around the £20-£30 mark to make it slightly more affordable. However, I do think that on payday I will be returning to Boots to purchase this. I was overall very impressed with the quality and difference it made to my face which infact lasted all day. I also love the packaging which maybe some reason as to why it costs what it does. Payday is coming soon and I think another trip to Boot's is in order.

Let me know in the comment box below on your opinion of this products or any other Benefit products you would recommend me to use. Or do you have any cheaper alternatives? I would love to know what you think. Also please be sure to follow my blog and share to others. Thank you.

I love you because...| Daily Bow

So as some of you may know I am a HUGE fan of Sprinkle of Glitter aka Louise Pentland, a female youtuber/blogger that I adore. Recently she posted a blog about her husband, and I think it was so heart warming and lovely that I wanted to do my own version.

Before you read my blog, check out my inspiraton for this idea on Sprinkle of Glitters blog on the link below.

WARNING: SOPPYNESS AT IT'S FINEST

I think often when in a relationship, you spend so much time together that completely take each other for granted. It may be clear that you love them, but being honest with ourselves do we ever actually show it? I consider myself as a very lovey dovey person who loves to share my affections and emotions...especially by cuddling. I just can't help myself. There's no better feeling then feeling loved and I can go to sleep happy at night knowing that everyone around me knows how much I love them, especially Tom.

Tom and I met back when we were 14 and 16 years old. We were so cringe-able and cute that it's actually quite embarrassing to look back on. Now 19 and 21, I don't think much has changed, expect we now know how to appreciate each other more. No relationship is ever perfect and we have definatley had our moments, but it all comes back down to the fact that we get on SO well.

I always tell Tom I love him. Everyday infact. I'm one of those people that finds it important to tell people as you never know whats around the corner...sad I know but very true. Since reading Sprinkle Of Glitters blog, it highlighted to me that perhaps I don't tell Tom exactly why I love him so much. I think there is a difference in loving someone and being in love with someone and I am definatley in love with Tom. He is literally like the ice cream to a sunny day...it just feels right. I'm guessing Tom will actually read this blog as he is always very supportive of me and sometimes it's easier to write feelings then say them out loud as lets face it, it can be quite embarrassing. But overall I want to share my feelings and tell you all why my Tom is so special and important to me.

I LOVE YOU BECAUSE you give the bestest hugs in the entire world! No one has arms like yours! They wrap around me so tight and are so comfy that no feeling can compare.

I LOVE YOU BECAUSE you always look after me when I'm poorly. Your always there with a fresh cup of tea and wrap me into my blanket with a film on to help me sleep.

I LOVE YOU BECAUSE even on days when I feel rough, you will surprise me by saying how nice I look. You also encourage me to wear no make up as you think I look nice without it. This makes me feel extra special.

I LOVE YOU BECAUSE you always introduce me. Even at the bar when ordering a drink to a complete stranger you will always say "Jess would like...". It always makes me laugh.

I LOVE YOU BECAUSE you will always go the extra mile to make me happy or to surprise me. Like when you proposed to me or tried to bring me a balloon for my birthday (personal story).

I LOVE YOU BECAUSE you are so generous and thoughtful for other people. You will do whatever you can to help others, like offering them lifts or simply asking how they are.

I LOVE YOU BECAUSE you read all my blog posts...well, skim read the beauty ones but that's good enough for me.

I LOVE YOU BECAUSE you always support my beliefs and ideas..like how I do not believe in Whale captivity.

I LOVE YOU BECAUSE I know I can always rely on you when in need.

I LOVE YOU BECAUSE your like a gadget man. You can literally fix anything that breaks and you are so super talented at making things. I have never know anyone to be so clever in that department.

I LOVE YOU BECAUSE you proposed to me. This makes me super excited as I know that one day I will be your wife and spend everyday with you.

I LOVE YOU BECAUSE I think your pretty hot and your elbows are soft. Random but a good man has soft elbows. I also like your bottom he he he!

My list could continue but I know I have already breached my limit of online sopyness and I do not want Tom's head growing any bigger. To say these things out loud for everyone to see is a big step but I suppose after all these years with Tom, it's pretty obvious how I feel about him now. A big thanks to Tom for allowing me to write about him and sharing my thoughts on you. Your a good sport!

I tag everyone who reads this blog to think of the reasons they love someone and tell them! Let them know how you feel. Also, let me know in the comments below of your opinions and why you love somebody.

Be sure to check out mine and Tom's proposal story here or read about how recent holiday here.

I really hope you enjoyed this.

Fiat 500 Review | Daily Bow

So last month I had a mega indulge and brought a new car. I needed a new car that was suitable for work, cheaper to run and stylish...but has the Fiat 500 met my requirements?

I've had my new car about a month now and I did not want to review it straight away as I wanted to give it a real test drive. For the first weeks of buying a new car your in this haze of amazingness where you can not fault it in anyway, but I thought the only way for a fair review is to give it chance for me to get used to it.

Firstly I wanted a new car as before hand I drove a bashed up Vaxuhall Corsa that previously had 7 owners and was not looked after very well. It was costing me a lot to insure and maintain as it kept breaking down. I loved my little car and it did me well but the running costs were too much and of course every girl dreams of their perfect car. Originally I would drive around dreaming that I was in a VW beetle but after lot's of research I realised that unless brand new, those cars would not suit my budget or save me money. I also was not keen on buying second hand as my first 2 experiences of second hand cars have not been very good. I suppose you pay for quality after all. After lots more research, I went to my second choice of car which was a Fiat 500. Nearly every girl in my town owns one of these and I would drive past them wishing that it was me. So after a long time of speaking to my local Fiat garage, I decided to take the plunge and buy one.

For a while I did not want a white car, but the more I looked into picking the colours I was finding myself spoilt for choice. The 500 range has almost every colour possible which I found really hard to pick so I decided to go for white. I also liked the white colour as it meant it matched the interior of the car perfectly. The reason I like 500's so much is because of there quirky shape, small size and retro looking interior. I believe it is the ultimate girl car. It won't be suitable for the future like when I want children and it definatley wont pull my caravan but its perfect for leisure and my job.

So, has it disappointed me in any way?

This car was made for me! It has everything I have ever dreamt of it in. It's size means I can pull into any spaces without worrying or shuffling to fit. It's retro interior is to die for. It's pure white with a large leather steering wheel, and a high gear stick which is perfect for someone who is used to driving a little low down Corsa. I really like the layout of my car like its speed dials and digital screen. I find this really useful and easy to read. The seats (which design I picked myself) are so comfortable and have no rips in unlike my old car. They are really easy to clean and are like sitting in a comfy arm chair.

The model of my 500 is the "Lounge". It comes with the standard black sunroof which I love, expect I wish it would open like my old car. There's nothing nicer then the sun shining down on you whilst driving. My car also comes with the Start/Stop system which is designed to save you on petrol, reduce emissions and make sitting in traffic easier. You literally take your feet off the pedals and bam! your car is turned off. It may sound a bit scary and strange at first, but it's really easy to use and is a clever way to stop you riding your clutch (if that's a bad habit of yours). It also has the Blue&Me system so that you can connect your phone and make calls by literally talking to your car. I press a button on my steering wheel say "Call Mom" and it will immediately ring my mom so I can legally talk to her whilst driving. I can also charge my phone effortlessly whilst driving and play my music through it. This is by far my favourite bit.

The best part about my car is how stylish it is. Wherever I go, I always get complimented for it. I see my car as kind of an accessories like a nice handbag or statement necklace so I like to make sure it is clean and shiny at all times. I take pride when driving my car and I love how well suited to me it is. I would definatley recommend this car and if your interested then I would book yourself in for a test drive.

Let me know what you think in the comment's below, don't forget to follow and share!

Dove Summer Glow Lotion Review | Daily Bow

For a while now I have been wanting to have a natural looking fake tan but really did not know which way to turn. Do I have a spray tan? or try a gradual tanner? In the process of making a decision, a few people from work suggested the "Dove Summer Glow lotion". For a while I kept thinking to myself that it would be so streaky and it would never work on my pale skin, but I can honestly say it has been quite the opposite.

Luckily when I plucked up the courage to buy the product, it was on sale in Boots and I got it for under £3. Instantly I was happy as I did not want to spend the usual £5 or more for a self tanner then may not actually work or suit my skin type. My lotion is the "fair to medium skin". For about a week, the gradual tanner sat on my shelf looking at me as I was still too nervous to try it. There's nothing worse then bright orange skin and the constant embarrassment of everyone staring at you...we've all been there. So one afternoon, I decided to take a long hot shower and attempt the first application. The first thing I noticed about the self tanner was the smell. It smells gorgeous! It has a fresh scent and makes your skin smell amazing. On the bottle it says to apply in circular motions so I began with my legs and worked my way up- making sure that I did not miss any skin. I then waited about 5 minutes whilst I brushed my teeth and combed my hair allowing it time to dry and soak into my skin. I heard that you should allow drying time as rushing to put your clothes back on may cause streaks or uneven patches..something I really wanted to avoid.

Now the lotion does not make you instantly tanned, so its all about being gradual and building it up. I then applied it for a few days (mainly at night time) and I was so happy with the results! My aim was to have a slight tan as I did not want to be orange and this worked great for me. It left me glowing and made me feel so confident. I was left with no streaks and an even light tan. Another added feature is that it leaves your skin feeling so soft and smooth..i just love it.

My top tips when applying this body lotion would be to exfoliate in the shower before use, apply in circular motion and keep it topped up everyday. I find applying mine before bed is easiest and the best part about it is that it does not leave your sheets stained with orange tan like most self tanners.

I suggest that this makes its way into your summer collection as I love mine and will continue to use it. Leave me your comments below to let me know your opinions or to let me know if your going to try this.
