Blogmas Day 6 / Another Christmas Tag

Hey everyone...

Here I am again with yet another Christmas tag. This time I have got the questions from the Wonderful YouTuber Alfie Deyes, who you may know as PointlessBlog or PointlessBlogTV. If you don't know who he is then he is a British YouTuber who created his own Christmas tag and allowed you to tag yourself in it and answer his questions. He is a great guy and I think you should check him out. Here is a link to his Christmas video:

So here are the questions:

1). Use one noise to describe how excited you are for christmas.

I would describe my noise as a scream..not a terrified one, but one that people do when they are excited or have just seen their favorite celebrity.

2). Whats the best present you've ever been given and why?

It may sound strange, but the best present I have been given would probably be my iPod doc. My boyfriend brought it for me about 3 years ago and I still use it everyday. Having that iPod doc made such a difference to my everyday life as it meant I could listen to all my favorite songs whilst I get ready or when I was bored. I meant that I didn't have to wear my headphones whilst doing my hair and getting all tangled up in the wire. To this day I still use it and love it. I think it's came in really handy for me and was such a useful gift.

3). Whats the worst present you've ever given and why?

I don't think I've ever had any awful presents. I think I'm a really easy person to buy for as I tend to like everything and anything. If it sparkles then I think everyone knows what I will like and dislike. I'm always grateful for what people buy me and I love presents where people put alot of thought into.

4). Sing a line from your favourite christmas song?

Deck the halls with bells of holly...fa la la la la..la la la la

5). Whats your favourite Christmas film?

ELF!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Without a doubt! it is hilarious and I could watch it every night for the next 5 years I love it that much.

6). Show how good you are at wrapping a present.

7). If you could rename one of father christmas' reindeer, what would you name it?

I would call it...Elvis. I think Santa needs a reindeer called Elvis in his life.

8). Whats your favourite thing about christmas?

My family! Decorations! Christmas Songs! Christmas Films! Christmas Jumpers! Love! EVERYTHING!

Blogmas Day 5 / November Favorites

FIVEEEE GOLDEN RINGSSSSSS!!!!

Blogmas Day 5 already! Today I have decided to do my November Favorites. If you don't know what this is, it's where I shall review my favorite products that I have used throughout the November month...lets get started.

The first thing I am going to show you is the new Barry M Limited Edition Christmas specials. I got this free from Boots when I spent £6.00 or more on Barry M and I love it. I got the Silver Glitter Polish in the shade 341. It's very similar to the Barry M glitter shade in Diamond Glitter, but the glitter in this polish is finer and spreads across your nails alot better. You don't have to keep building over your nails to get that ultimate glitter effect as it happens within one coat of this polish. I love the packaging as you can tell it's Limited Edition and it's in this really nice shiny silver which makes it stand out from your average nail polish packaging. I also really like the feel of the handle as it's a bit of a rough texture which makes it easier to grip when painting your nails. Originally it costs £3.99 on it's own, but the offer is still on in Boots so grab it whilst you can!!! http://www.boots.com/en/Barry-M-Limited-Edition-Nail-Paint_1388211/

GLITTERY AND PRETTY!

One thing I always struggling with is buying hair grips. I have had no end of hair grips but they all seem to hurt my head when I put them in my hair. There's nothing worse then that sharp pain you feel when the tip of sharp grin digs in your scalp, so I decided I need to find some with a hard coating to stop them from hurting me. I was in luck! Normally I would buy Asda or Matalan's own brand of hair grips but this time I went for something different. I never want to spend alot on hair grips because like most girls I tend to loose them and never see them again so I don't want to be spending like £5 for something I know I am going to loose. The hair grips I brought were from the "Mila Rose" collection from Asda. It's like a cheap brand that sells quality hair products. They cost me £1.50 and have probably been the best hair grips I have ever brought. They are soft, supportive and best of all don't hurt my head! I reccomend these to girls who have there hair up alot as they haven't stretched or lost their ability to hold alot of hair. There's 45 in a pack so it helps me to avoid loosing alot at once..link: http://groceries.asda.com/asda-webstore/landing/home.shtml#/product/910000479410

Back onto hair and this time I am talking about hair accessories. I'm really into hair accessories at the moment as I feel they make a boring look turn into a sparkly one. With it being party season, I really needed something nice to go in my hair that wasn't too over the top as my dress could be viewed as over powering. I needed something with a bit of sparkle yet low key. Then I seen these sparkly hair slides that were perfect! They cost me £4.00 from Matalan and I love them! They really know how to add sparkle to a casual outfit or party dress. They aren't showing them on the Matalan website, but I shall link you to some similar which you can buy from eBay. Link: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Silver-Bridal-Diamante-Crystal-Flower-Hair-Twists-Swirls-Coils-Spirals-Pins-6-/171143042629?pt=UK_Hair_Accessories&hash=item27d8eb9645

I love these!

As you may guess by my last name and my blog title "Daily Bow"...I love Bows...especially big sparkly ones! So recently I have been on eBay alot buying myself lots of pretty bow hair clips to help jazz up a boring outfit into a sparkly one! I get a lot of compliments on this particular bow and it only cost me £1.95 including post and packaging which I would say is a fair deal. I have wore this bow alot and everyone really enjoys it, so I reccomend you buy one to and dress up your casual outfits over Christmas. eBay do these bows in a range of colours and sizes with diamante's on, I can't wait for my delivery this week as I have ordered some more...opps! A bit of a random one now...but it's something I truly love and love is the Febreze Air Effects fragrant spray in Apple and Spice. As you may know from previous blogs, I love the smell of Christmas spices and when I seen that this fragrance in the shops I could not resist myself from buying it! I love the Febreze products anyway and keep one of the sprays in my car at all times incase my seats are in need of a freshen up and it works wonders! I always have people saying "mmm Jess, your car smells nice" but they don't know my secret...until now. With it being the festive season, I am loving spraying everything with Apples and Spices as it makes me feel extra happy and like I'm driving Santa's Sleigh. I reccomend this to freshen up your car or home and make everything burst with Christmas scents. Mmmmmm

That is all for my November favorites and I hope you enjoyed seeing what I have been loving! Feel free to comment below on all the things you have been loving last month! See you soon!

Blogmas Day 4 / Christmas Jumpers!

Hello everybodyyyyy!

I am sooooo sorry for being late for Blogmas. Christmas is always a busy year for me so I find it difficult to post high quality blogs that you will all be interested in. Any-who, lets begin today's topic...Christmas Jumpers!

I don't know about you but I LOVE Christmas jumpers, but unfortunately I find it really difficult to find a high quality yet cheap jumper, after all you will only wear it during the festive season. I looked in shop after shop but found that most jumpers were thin and really expensive. I'm going to show you some of my favorite jumpers to help you buy the warmest and most stylish yet inexpensive Christmas jumpers ever. I only actually own two festive jumpers but I shall link you to some of my favorite ones from the high street!

Here's the latest jumper I have brought. It was £16 from Peacock's and I think the material is super strong and warm. I find that some wooly jumpers snag really easy and you find "pulls" on them that make you look untidy, but so far so good with this jumper. I wear it all the time, washed it lots and it's still like brand new. I reccomend this jumper because it makes you feel nice, warm and cuddly. I love it's deep Christmas red and how it has little skiers on it. It reminds me of a retro jumper that you would see on old Christmas movies where the children would be too embarrassed to wear them. I'm not embarrassed to wear mine though as I LOVE it! I would have gave you the link to this jumper but I believe they are now out of stock..but you could always check out there other festive jumpers at www.peacocks.co.uk

Another jumper that I seen and loved was this festive season was the Polka Dot Pudding jumper from New Look. It is slightly on the expensive side coming up at £27.99 but I just absolutley love the pattern and the pale blue. Most things around Christmas are red or green but I love this pale blue as it reminds me of frost and the cold weather. It also has white pom poms which are 3D. Check it out on http://www.newlook.com/shop/womens/knitwear/pale-blue-polka-dot-pudding-christmas-jumper_289534545

River Island have a very interesting collection of Christmas jumpers at the moment and I absolutely love them. They are so unusal and have really different edges and approaches to your average Christmas jumpers. The one I like the most would be the Bauble jumper. Its a dark navy blue colour with Baubles on. I particularity love this as I think that it's not very often that you see Baubles on Christmas jumpers. It's at a hefty price of £50.00 but if you want to look the best at your Christmas party then it may be worth the dollar. Link: http://www.riverisland.com/women/knitwear/jumpers/Navy-embellished-bauble-Christmas-jumper-646898

One of the best qualities of a Christmas jumper is comfort and how soft it is. There's no point in a Christmas jumper if it doesn't keep you warm during the cold winter. I seen this Snowflake jumper in Next and I could not believe how soft it was. Not only was the pattern very festive but it always came in a range of colours. I like the low key grey and the festive bright red. It is £32 which I don't mind paying as long as the quality is long lasting. Link: http://www.next.co.uk/g59188s1#873124g49

I hope you liked a few of my favorite high street Christmas jumpers. Now, for a bit of fun I thought I would show you some of my favorite and most random Christmas jumpers for men, all from River Island.

Blogmas Day 3 / The Harry Potter Studios!!

Hello everyone!

Guess where I went???? THE HARRY POTTER STUDIOS!!! I definitely don't want you all to think that I am bragging but it is sooooo worth talking about! It was amazing! I would highly reccomend this trip to anybody...Harry Potter fan or not. It is brill!

My Mom really isn't a Harry Potter fan but she really enjoyed looking at all the film sets and learning how it was made. The sets and costumes were astounding, like nothing you've ever seen before. It was busy but manageable and once you got off the tour you was allowed to admire the sets for as long as you wanted. I'm not going to spoil it for everyone and tell you step by step what happened but I wanted to share some pictures of a few of my favorite bits. The picture quality isn't amazing as it was quite dark and I spent most of my time filming it.

With it obviously being Christmas time, they had set up the Hogwarts lunch hall to be all festive. There was plastic but realistic looking turkeys, Christmas puddings and much more. It definitely looked like a banquet made for the Queen. Everything was so realistic and although fake, the food looked great. I love how the Christmas tree's had little witches floating around to give you that real magic feel. The actual Hogwarts Hall is really amazing, it shows you how in the film it looks like it has a roof where in actual fact it doesn't. They also edited the windows to make it look like it was snowing outside but they were actually lighting effects but you would have never been able to tell.

I love how magical this ice castle looked, it was made from plastic but it looked so realistic.

One of my favorite parts of the Harry Potter Studio's was reading about the pets they filmed with. I was amazed by how many pets played one character and all swapped for different scenes. It amazes me because you would never been able to tell on the films that they had swapped. I also found it interesting how the majority or if not more were rescue animals that had been very well trained and have been used for films.

The funniest time of the whole trip would be when I (yes...me) got stuck in the side car. Trust me to get in this side car with shoes that had nooooo grip. I got in for a picture when I realized I couldn't get back out. Not only was I in the confined place but my shoes were slipping on this piece of wood on the inside of the cart. As I would push up to get out, my feet would slip and I was falling further and further into it. Not only did I look ridiculous as I looked like I was stuck but I had loads of people gathering around at staring at me...I suppose now is the right time to thank my family for helping me out and not laughing at me...NOT. As you will see by the picture below my Mom found it hilarious.

Here was my half attempt of getting out which failed miserably.

The Knight Bus was also awesome! It was huge!

and heres me and my family causing more ciaos!

My absolute most favourite thing was seeing the amazing work they did to make the Hogwarts. With it being winter they covered it in a blanket of snow and dimmed the main lights so you could see it all lit up and looking magical. The detail on it was breath taking, it was like seein it in real life but a dwarfs version.

I hope you enjoyed looking at my pictures! It was such a great day out...can't wait to go again!

Blogmas Day 2 / Christmas Tag

Woohoo! It's second of December guys!

Today I am actually going to The Harry Potter Studios so I will post about that soon, but as it is the beginning of Blogmas I decided that today I will get us all in the Festive Spirit by doing the "Ready For Christmas Tag".

So let's begin...

1.Whats Your Favorite Holiday Movie?

As you may know my ultimate favorite film is "Elf". I know this film off by heart, I could literally say most of the dialogue in the film. This film makes me laugh from start to finish and I always get excited to see it.

2. Whats Your Favorite Christmas Color?

My favorite Christmas color is like a glittery red. I think it is soooo festive and pretty! I love sparkles and deep reds especially on my nails at this time of year.

3. Do You Like To Stay in Your PJs Or Dress Up For Christmas?

I like a mixture of both on Christmas Day. To begin with in the morning I like to stay in my pj's or onesie. I think it's nice to feel relaxed when opening your presents and not have to worry about rushing to the bathroom before everyone else. At christmas time I often get alot of shower gels or nice smelly things so its always nice to go and use them after I've opened my presents. It means I can use my new things and then get dressed up ready for dinner. We tend to eat our christmas dinner around 2pm so I have plenty of time during the day to glam up. I like to feel nice and dressed up as my mom usually has the camera out so I don't want to look rough on Christmas Day.

4. If You Could Only Buy One Person a Present This Year Who Would It Be?

This is such a hard one. One of my favourite things to do is to buy presents for people. I get probably more excited then they do, so to only be able to buy something for one person would be difficult. There's so many important people in my life that I couldn't choose. I'd hate to leave anyone out.

5. Do You Open Your Present Christmas Eve Or Christmas Morning?

Well santa doesn't come until Christmas Eve so obviously I can only open on Christmas Day. Although in my house we have a little tradition where my mom and dad buy us a little Christmas Eve present. Ever since I was a little kid on Christmas Eve we would have special presets that we was allowed to open. Usually they would be things like new bubble bath, pjs , a dressing gown or slippers. These would be our special new Christmas Eve pjs to wear ready for christmas morning. I always look forward to this as its nice to be comfy in new pjs. We then open up all our normal presents on Christmas Day!

6. Have You Ever Built a Ginger Bread House?

I haven't actually. It's something I would love to have ago at though. I don't actually like gingerbread very much as its too spicy for me but I'd love to have ago at making one. I think I shall have to add this to my christmas to do list with my boyfriend as I think he would enjoy this too.

7. What Do You Like To Do On Your Christmas Break?

This is what everyone says but I like to spend as much time as possible with those who are close to me. I'm close to my family all around the year but I think christmas is the time where you spend the most quality time together and just have fun. Arguments and disagreements are banned from my house around christmas to ensure we all enjoy christmas together. I also like to do as many festive things as I can like go ice skating, bake, wrap presents, write christmas cards and put up decorations.

8. Any Christmas Wishes?

My christmas wish is that next year is a good and healthy one for all my friends and family. We have had quite a tough two years in my house so I'm hoping that next year will be full of luck and happy things. I hope everyone is healthy and happy!

9. Favorite Christmas Smell?

My favourite christmas smell has got to be apple and cinnamon. This smell instantly makes me feel festive and I just can't get enough of it!

10. Favorite Christmas Meal Or Treat?

As you may know from my last blog, I'm not a fan of most christmas foods like christmas cake, mince pies and stollen cake so this is hard for me. My favorite christmas meal is obviously going to be christmas dinner. Yum yum yum!

I hope you have enjoyed my festive tag and I shall see you tomorrow for blogmas day 3.

Blogmas Day 1 / Advent Calenders

Happy December Everybodyyyyy!

As you can probably tell I am super super excited that it is now Officially the countdown to Christmas, YAY! *Happy dances*

Like I said, as today marks the day of the countdown to Christmas I thought today's blog should be about Advent Calenders! No matter how old you are, I think that everyone loves an Advent Calender! There's something fun about waking up and opening the door to find a little Christmassy shaped piece of chocolate. You can buy chocolate everyday of the year but when it's Christmas shaped then the whole world seems a better and more festive place! I also find the little jokes or quotes on the door really cute and I like to read them alot. Something I find difficult about Advent Calenders is that even when all of the Chocolates have gone and it's only the box left I never want to throw it away. The end of the Calenders means that Christmas is over and then I feel sad so I try to make use of the box before my mom throws it away because she knows I'm weird like that. Alot of Advent Calenders have activities on the back so I like to pretend they are my excuse for keeping the box. I also think one of the best feelings of having an Advent Calender is when you forget to eat your chocolate in the morning and realize in the middle of the day, so when you get home you can eat yours whilst everyone else has already ate they'res. I also think that Advent Calenders mean that it's the only time of the year where for a whole month you don't forget what the date is, which is soooo useful in my job.

This year my mom got me and my siblings a Cadbury Chocolate Calender, Eventhough we are all adults now, my mom still buys us an Advent Calender and she gets really upset if we attempt to buy our own. I think I will be in my 40's and she will still come to my house with a Calender for me and her possible grand children. This year mine has a Snowman on it, and my sister's has a Santa Claus on it...super cute!

Nom Nom Nom

I opened it up this morning and there was a chocolate Santa Claus, and a cute message inside the door.

You have to love this time of the year!

I think that this year I have been a very very very lucky girl as I get to open TWO Calenders..one is more special than your average Chocolate one though as it was hand made by my very talented and wonderful boyfriend just for me! My boyfriend knows me very well and this year surprised me with his idea of making me an Advent Calender made out of wood so we can reuse it. He spent alot of his spare time in his garage fixing me up what is now my perfect Advent Calender. We picked out the material for the front together and it's great as it has Christmas patterns on to make it extra festive. What I find is so great about this Advent Calender is that it is reusable so I can use it year after year. I hope dearly that we will use this calender one day in the future with our children so it can be passed down in the family.
Excuse the mess behind..but isn't it just the best thing you've ever seen!

Last night my boyfriend came sneakily into my room with my Calender (which I didn't see him steal) that himself and "Santa's elves" had filled with chocolate goodies. He said I wasn't allowed to peak which makes me even more tempted to peak at! I get really itchy fingers when I'm excited over something and all morning I have been looking at my calender with temptation to see what's behind the doors... but I have to keep telling myself ..Lead me not into Temptation! Anyway as today is Officially December 1st of course I have opened door one...which wasssssss....a Galaxy chocolate! Yum Yum one of my favorites...ooooohhhh hes good!
Aren't I a lucky girl???

Now I know that chocolate isn't for everyone and although it's December 1st, it's not to late to get yourself an Advent Calender. Here are a few examples of different type's of Advent Calenders which will definitely make you want to open the doors!

Yankee Candle Advent Calender £21.99

http://www.yankeecandle.co.uk/en/uk/gift-ideas/advent-calendar/invt/1289550?gclid=CMbVgZ7xjrsCFWgUwwod5yAAaA

Now if you love Yankee Candles like I do then this is perfect for you! Everyday you open the doors you will find yourself a different scented tea light candle for you to use every night up until December 24th where you get yourself a cute and extra special little present.

Love the smells of Christmas!

Boots Beauty Advent Calender £30.00

http://www.boots.com/en/Boots-Beauty-Advent-Calendar_1401928/

Here is a calender which definitely suits the girls as everyday you will wake up to a new branded make up or beauty product. I think this is a super cute idea and helps you try products that you may have never considered trying before. I think this would very exciting to open each morning!

Benefit Countdown to Love Calender £50.00

http://www.benefitcosmetics.co.uk/product/view/countdown-to-love

I love Benefit products as they remind me of Soap and Glory. They have super cool packaging and there products are like god sends sometimes! I love there products and can't imagine how excited I would be to open there advent calender every day to discover something new from them.

Super fun and girly

Calender Candles

This is probably the most simple yet lovely way of celebrating the countdown to Christmas. You simply burn the candle each day until Christmas and watch it melt down with the days. You can find these candles in most shops for under £5..bargain!

I hope you found this useful and gets you in the Christmas spirit. It's not to late to get yourself an advent calender so get yourself one today!

Don't forget the true meaning of Advent along the way

It's Blogmas time!!!

It's Christmassssssssssssssssssssssssssss!

Hello everybody!

It's that time of year again...The Most Wonderful Time of the year la la la. As you may know, around this time of year vloggers and bloggers like myself do a little something called "Vlogmas/Blogmas". If you are unfamiliar with this it's basically where YouTubers or Bloggers post videos or blogs everyday from the first of December until Christmas day! I think it's a great idea as reading and watching about what other people do around this time of year helps get me feeling all festive and in the Christmas spirit. Now I've decided to try and do my best to create a blog for everyday of all Christmassy things that I like or things that I get up to. I can't promise that any of these will be very exciting but this is something I am going to love doing and I hope you will love it just as much as me!

I've decided to do my "Blogmas" a little different this year. Instead of posting blog's on what I do every day up until Christmas, I am going to post a mixture. Stayed tuned everyday to see what's in store for you!

Go check out my post after this to find out what is my first Official Blogmas post!

But before you go..Check out the new KFC Christmas advert! I seen this last night during the break of The X Factor and the singing in it really got my attention! For a while I couldn't work out what this advert would be advertising but it's very clever. The video linked below is poor quality but I have linked the actual link below for you to find.
