Hello guys!
I hope you all had a fabulous weekend! I'm pretty tired from working the most of it but very very excited to post this new blog post. As you may know I recently brought the Naked 3 Palette by Urban Decay, and after fiddling with the colours I have found a few eye looks that I really like...here is one of them.
(made by Daily Bow)
Now the look I have chosen to write about is great as a smokey day or night look, it is versatile and the colours blend perfectly. I created this look by picking the colours I thought looked well together and came up with this lovely concoction.
To create this look I used the following:
Urban Decay Palette
Real Techniques/MAC brushes
Urban Decay eye primer
Natural Collection Lipstick in Pink Mallow
No7 Stay Perfect Foundation in the shade Calico
Elf baked blush
Elf eyebrow kit in the colour Ash
Avon Black Eyeliner Pencil
No7 Stay Perfect Long Lasting Volume
Collection 2000 lipstick in Seduction
No7 Stay Perfect Long Lasting Volume
Collection 2000 lipstick in Seduction
Step One: To begin, I like to use my Real Techniques Foundation brush to apply my No7 Stay Perfect foundation all across my face until there's full coverage. Make sure to blend the foundation thoroughly into the skin until its smooth and does not leave patches...look out for patches around your chin, forehead and nose area.
Step Two: I then use my Urban Decay Eye Primer and spread it evenly across my eye lids using my middle finger. The eye primer really helps to set your eyeshadow and keep it looking fresh until the end of the day! I really recommend this product especially if wearing heavy make up on a night out...it will last you until morning for sure.
Step Three: Using the Urban Decay Naked 3 palette I then apply the light and lovely shade which is "Stange" all over my eye lid, especially under my brow as it creates a perfect highlight and gives your eye a little lift. For this I use my Real Techniques Base Shadow brush as it applies it smoothly. Taking my accent brush I then use the shade "Black Heart" I apply it to the outer corners of my eye which is going to create the smokey affect. This shade is very pigmented so be careful when applying as you don't want it to dark...unless it's a nighttime look of course. I then change my brush for the Deluxe Crease Brush and evenly blend the darker colour into the middle of my eye making sure to not cover the eye as you need to leave space for the next shade. Once my darker shade is fully blended and smooth I then apply the shade "Dark side" to the middle of my eye, slightly over lapping the shade "Black Heart" using the Deluxe Crease Brush. Blend blend blend until it's how you like it. I then slightly apply the colour "Liar" to brighten up the look and make it all look smooth using my Urban Decay brush which came with the palette. To then soften the look, I apply the shade "Buzz" which is a delicate glittery pink shade which really helps brighten your eyes and make your pupils stand out. In the corner and bottom corner of my eye I then apply using my Urban Decay Brush the shade "Dust" which really helps make your eyes look bigger and brighter. Your eyes will stand out like diamonds! This look is a perfect smokey yet day time look and is very wearable.
Step Four: Once my eyes are complete and looking lovely, I then apply my black eye liner pencil from the outer corner of my eye into the inner corner creating a cat eye finish. It's a lot softer then using a gel or liquid eye liner when wearing it as a day time look, but I would recommend a gel eyeliner for a dark effect as a evening eye look. Then using my No7 Stay Perfect Mascara I apply my mascara to my top and bottom eye lashes creating more volume to the look and making my eyes look bigger and fuller. This mascara is perfect when using your eyes as a statement piece for any outfit. I also apply my Elf eyebrow kit in the colour "Ash" using my Real Techniques Brow Brush to define my eyebrows.
Step Five: Using my Mac blusher brush, I then apply my Elf Baked Blush and softly apply the blush to my cheeks at a diagonal point to make my cheek bones stand out. Don't over do it with the blusher as you don't want it to over power your eyes. Bronzer and High lighter are perfect to apply when wearing this as an evening look.
Step Six: To finish the look I then apply my favorite thing...lippy! The lipstick I have chose for the day time look is the Natural Collection Lipstick in Pink Mallow as it's really soft and natural making this look wearable in the day time. For the evening look, I like to use my Collection 2000 lipstick in Seduction as I feel it really stands out and makes you noticeable.
