Hello bloggers! Very sorry for my lack of blogging this week, I have been super busy and trying out this handy new product....The Urban Decay Naked 2 palette.
As you may already know, I brought the Naked 2 palette about a month ago and loved it...well guess what I did only 2 weeks later...I brought the Naked 2 palette!! (Naughty me) I seriously can not believe how much money I've spent on make up this month, especially these palettes!..But were they worth the money?
Packaging
So lets begin this review on the packaging. All the Naked palettes come boxed but they are all boxed slightly different, for example the Naked 3 palette is more textured then this one. All boxes have information and pictures of the shadows on the back and the very large font on the front which is really attention grabbing. I love the colour of the box as I think it gives a very clear intention of what to expect for the shadows and their colours. As I said in my last blog, the packaging for these palettes are amazing. So durable, easy to clean and latch together so tightly to avoid smashing your shadows when carrying around. It's the same size as the other Naked palettes, so once again it is perfect to carry in your bag and comes with a large handy mirror - which I find myself using lot more then my other mirrors. Same as Naked 3, this palette comes with a duel ended brush which is really good to add to your eye shadow brush collection. The bristles are soft and really help to apply/blend your shadows. This palette also came with some samples of the
Urban Decay eyeshadow Primer Potions in the shades: Original, Sin, Eden and Anti- Aging. They come in little sample packages which make them easy to carry around and they do not spill anywhere causing a mess.
As a reminder of the Primers from my last blog:
Original: This shade is the invisible shade that I like to wear when using the lighter colours.
Sin: This primer is almost a champagne shimmer shade also good for the lighter colours.
Eden: This primer is definatley the matte primer which highlights the eyes better.
Anti- Aging: A nude shades which promises to improve the appearances of blemishes, fine lines and wrinkles.

I am really enjoying the Original and Sin shades as they are so wearable and really do provide long lasting eye shadow.
Shades
When I was in the shop, I could not decide if I wanted to buy Naked 1 or Naked 2. They were both staring at me and had lots to offer. All there colours were perfect and I could imagine wearing them all but I decided to try Naked 2. The colours were stood out and shimmered in the light so I could not resist it.
This palette comes with 12 beautiful shades which I think work well for
natural eyes to a smokey effect. I also love the names of the shades, they add something fun and interesting to the palette. I can always remember which colours I used for what look just by remembering the names.
- Foxy is a yellow based nude. It shows up really lovely on your eyes, bare and light but makes the perfect eyebrow highlighter.
- Half Baked is a bronze shimmer with a frosted finish and appears almost gold. Really pretty and perfectly pigmented.
- Booty Call is a light pink shimmer almost matte shade with a frosted finish. Really great for making the eyes look bigger if worn on the inner corner of your eye.
- Chopper is a copper shimmer with silver micro glitter and is very pigmented. This shade really stands out and looks great for people with blue eyes.
- Tease is a creamy mauve-brown with a matte finish. It stands out lovely and is quite vibrant. I personally love this shade!
- Snakebite is a dark bronze/brown with a golden shimmer finish. This shade is great for a smokey eye.
- Suspect is a pale champagney beige with a frosted finish. This colour is so unique and is gorgeous - also very blendable and works with most of the shades.
- Pistol is a light grey/brown with a frosted shimmer finish. This works really well with Verve.
- Verve is a light gray with bare pink undertones and a shimmer finish. This is most likely my favourite shade is perfects a smokey eye look.
- YDK is a copper bronze and brown shimmer with a metallic under lay. This colour is my second favourite and so pigmented.
- Busted is a burgundy toned dark brown with a shimmer finish. Great to add definition and is very blendable.
- Blackout is a very dark black with a matte finish. This is really pigmented and you don't have to apply a lot as it is very dramatic and really stands out.
All the shades in this palette are lovely! They are easy to wear and are so versatile. It's great to have a palette where I can open it up and decide if I want to look natural or have a smokey eye. I have so many favorites in this palette and they are so easy to apply.
Overall Thoughts?
I think judging from my statements, we all know my overall thoughts on this palette. All the shades in this palette are what I like to call PERFECT! I really did not think any palette could be better then the Naked 3 palette but this palette just has the whole lot! My favourite thing about this palette is how pigmented it is. The pigmentation in the Naked 3 palette seems awful compared to this palette. The shimmery shades in this palette last so long without using primer and really show up well on the eyes. Since having this palette, I have been experimenting in wearing casual/natural smokey eye looks and I love it. These shades seem to really compliment my eyes and bring out my eye color so I am really enjoying this palette. I do not regret spending on this palette and I would also considering buying the Urban Decay Primers since using the samples that came in this palette and the Naked 3. This palette would be absolutely perfect for brides to be or proms.
Would I recommend this palette?? YES! 100%. This needs to be in every girls make up collection.
Thanks for reading as always and let me know in the comments below what your favourite shades are or if this has helped you decide if you should buy it or not. Your comments are really useful to me.
