Spring/Summer Must Have Dresses and Nails | Daily Bow

As my title suggests, this blog is going to be discussing Spring/Summer. Now I bet I'm not wrong in thinking some of you may be thinking I'm crazy as we are still in February and I'm getting a head of myself, but this year I decided that I wanted to be prepared and organized for the better weather. Winter can be drab once Christmas is over, and this years weather has been enough for us all to want the Sunshine to come early, especially me.

Recently I have been online shopping and discovered that most clothing shops are already selling the Spring/Summer collections and I thought that it would be a good idea for me to start picking bits up that I like so when it's sunny I can ditch the jumpers, and say hello to dresses and tops again. Also, in May I am going on holiday and I am hoping that the British weather will not let me down so I can wear some of my cute buys. Now, I haven't actually purchased any of these items yet, but I thought I would show you the ones that are on my list to buy so I am all stocked up and ready for the better weather (fingers crossed). Perhaps your wondering why I haven't brought any of these yet and it's purely on the basis of "I'm not sure what clothing size I will be". Of course with me loosing weight I want to make sure that the new items I am buying will fit me nearer the time so I need to think carefully on my choices and not set myself a huge target so I am not disappointed if the clothes don't fit. Not to mention the dreaded wait for pay day.

NEW LOOK

Especially in Spring, I love ditching the jumpers and jeans and finding those little dresses I forgot were in my wardrobe. This indicates to me that better weather is near. I'm really impressed with New Look this year as I feel they are really prepared for this years trends and I am over the moon to see that Pastel shades are back in. Over Winter I always miss the delights of wearing pastel shades but this year the colours are back and fresher then ever. So back to dresses, I am so spoiled for choice as there new range is not only really affordable but so adorable to. I have picked out some of my favourites that I intend on purchasing over the next few weeks.

I adore this dress! It's a gorgeous baroque print in blue which I think is perfect for an evening and day time look. I would dress this up with a nice chunky necklace, some black tights and dolly shoes for the perfect casual evening look which would be great on your holidays for an evening meal or entertainment session.
Another great thing about this dress is it is currently reduced by offer from £17.99 to £10.00. Must have bargain in my eyes!

As soon as I seen this dress I fell in love. It's so pleasant and pretty. It's rare you see white dresses anymore with a floral print on so I am so pleased to see this in there new collection. I am definatley going to be buying this. I can imagine myself wearing this as a casual dress in the day of my holiday with some nice flats to match. You could even dress this up with some cute white, cream or ivory heels...perhaps wear pink for an extra splash of colour.

Another beautiful dress is this one. A really flattering design, lovely light beige colour with some cute bird detailing on.  Nothing says Spring/Summer more then cute bird prints. Once again I think this dress would be perfect for a casual night outing. You could jazz it up and make it edgy by wearing some black heel boots, and a black blazer. Or wear it in the day with some beige/black sandals. I think its super easy to wear and is affordable.

All New Look clothes can be found here: http://www.newlook.com/

BARRY M

Nothing feels more like Spring/Summer then brightly coloured nails. So I have chosen three of my favourites from my favourite nail polish collection which is Barry M. Not only are these nail polishes incredibly affordable but they are anti chip and super cute. Also if you buy online now from Barry M there is a 15% off offer using the code FRESH15.

Here is the shade "Blue Moon". I love this colour, it's so fresh and a really cute pastel blue. This shade is so wearable and will really draw attention to your finger tips.

Here is the shade "Strawberry Ice Cream". Here I have another beautiful pastel shade in pink. This colour is so sweet and cute that you can not help but love it. So light yet bright and this nail polish would make me want to stare at my nails ALL day! Also, at £2.99 it's amazing value.

Here is the shade "Tangerine". Now this is a shade you have to be brave to wear...not! Although this shade is really bright and almost a neon Orange, this nail polish is totally wearable. Yes it is very distracting with its bright colour, but it is also very light meaning it wont look awful on your nails. I think this is a super nice shade and I would wear it happily.

All Barry M products can be found here: www.barrym.com

I hope you liked some of the products I have shown you in my blog. I can not wait to buy these and be all stocked up ready for Spring/Summer. If you liked this blog, then let me know in the comments below and I may follow this up with my Spring/Summer Must Have Bags and Sunglasses. Let me know what you think, your opinions and what's on your Spring/Summer list.

February Update 2014 | Daily Bow

 Hi guys!

If you read my January Resolutions blog then you will know that one of my goals this year was to loose weight and be healthier. Well I'm back and I want to let you know how my journey is going so far.

So I started my local Slimming World group six weeks ago and went in really positive and determined to loose weight. Whenever I go to loose weight this is how I act. I tend to start really motivated and within 2 weeks I've lost a few pounds and give up. I love the feeling of loosing weight but usually I give up and realise I love the feeling of eating chocolate more. This time around I have been completely different.

Since my journey on Slimming World I am extremely happy to announce that when I got weighed yesterday I was given a certificate to say I had lost a whole stone!!!! 14lbs in only 6 weeks! I really could not believe my eyes and nearly fell off the scales with shock. Perhaps you are wondering why I am shocked...well like I said I normally give up after a few weeks but this time things have been so so so much different!

Every week I like to make sure that I go to group on a Thursday. Not only because I'm interested to see what weight I've lost this week but to see all the wonderful people there I have met. I don't socialize as much with my own friends anymore as we are all to busy but I love walking around and seeing the people from group. It's nice to be walking in the shops and one of ladies comes over and says hello to me. It's really uplifting and gives me such a boost. The ladies and men in the group are mostly older then me but it really doesn't bother me. I feel really included in the group especially as my lovely weight loss consultant asks me to help her etc. I'm very lucky to feel comfortable in this group as when I was at Slimming World group I didn't enjoy going as much which I know feel that perhaps it delayed my weight loss. If you don't feel inspired and encouraged by others then you find it harder to achieve your goals. The lovely ladies in the group have now swapped numbers with me and we are all making the effort to meet up with each other in the week to do some "body magic" which is exercise in Slimming World talk. We are all starting to go swimming and gym classes together which is fantastic for me as not only is it more encouragement but I'm socialising with others which is something I really enjoy.

When I started my journey I wish I had measured my body so I can see how many inches I have lost so far and keep track of if all. Family members and friends are all commenting on how they can see I've lost weight but so far I can't see it that much. I've noticed my face is getting thinner and my waist. These are the places I tend to loose it from first usually. My legs look slightly trimmer and my tummy is on the way to feeling flatter. I really excited to see what I will look like in months to come....will I be wearing short dresses on the beach? Possibly a bikini? I'm not sure but I really can not wait to see a transformation in myself and a healthier me. I have a vision of me in a few months time and I will do everything in my power to help me achieve it. I want to be able to walk along the beach in a pair of shorts or a short dress, something I've never really had the confidence to do. A few years back when I lost weight I didn't mind wearing smaller clothes and show off my slimmer body but as I've got older I really don't have that inner confidence anymore and will do anything to avoid wearing shorts/skirts/dresses without leggings unless I am in my house. Hopefully this won't last for much longer and with the help of toning at the gym, I aim to feel comfy in my clothes and within my own skin. There's lots of things in the future that I need to be prepared for so by slimming now it gives me the chance to be ready to wear what I want. For example, I am going to be a Maid of Honor for my sisters wedding and a bridesmaid for my best friends wedding and I don't want to look fat and ruin their lovely wedding pictures or feel the need to change the dress choice as it don't look right on me. These occasions give me reason to carry on and avoid picking up those pesky half price chocolates when buying petrol. One thing I can say for Slimming World is that it is 100% not a diet! Its a life style choice! It focuses more about having a balanced diet rather then not eating certain foods e.g. carbs. You never feel hungry on it and always feel full...a lot of the time I am worrying that I am over eating.

Overall I am thrilled with my journey so far and will update you again next month to let you know how I am getting on. Fingers crossed I will have lost another stone and a few more inches. Let me know in the comments below if you stuck to your New Years resolutions, or if I have encouraged you to get fitter for summer. I would love to hear your weight loss stories and see how we can all support each other.

NAKED 2 - BY URBAN DECAY REVIEW | Daily Bow

Hello bloggers! Very sorry for my lack of blogging this week, I have been super busy and trying out this handy new product....The Urban Decay Naked 2 palette.

As you may already know, I brought the Naked 2 palette about a month ago and loved it...well guess what I did only 2 weeks later...I brought the Naked 2 palette!! (Naughty me) I seriously can not believe how much money I've spent on make up this month, especially these palettes!..But were they worth the money?

Packaging

So lets begin this review on the packaging. All the Naked palettes come boxed but they are all boxed slightly different, for example the Naked 3 palette is more textured then this one. All boxes have information and pictures of the shadows on the back and the very large font on the front which is really attention grabbing. I love the colour of the box as I think it gives a very clear intention of what to expect for the shadows and their colours. As I said in my last blog, the packaging for these palettes are amazing. So durable, easy to clean and latch together so tightly to avoid smashing your shadows when carrying around. It's the same size as the other Naked palettes, so once again it is perfect to carry in your bag and comes with a large handy mirror - which I find myself using  lot more then my other mirrors. Same as Naked 3, this palette comes with a duel ended brush which is really good to add to your eye shadow brush collection. The bristles are soft and really help to apply/blend your shadows. This palette also came with some samples of the Urban Decay eyeshadow Primer Potions in the shades: Original, Sin, Eden and Anti- Aging. They come in little sample packages which make them easy to carry around and they do not spill anywhere causing a mess.

As a reminder of the Primers from my last blog:
Original:  This shade is the invisible shade that I like to wear when using the lighter colours.
Sin: This primer is almost a champagne shimmer shade also good for the lighter colours.
Eden: This primer is definatley the matte primer which highlights the eyes better.
Anti- Aging: A nude shades which promises to improve the appearances of blemishes, fine lines and wrinkles.

I am really enjoying the Original and Sin shades as they are so wearable and really do provide long lasting eye shadow.

Shades

When I was in the shop, I could not decide if I wanted to buy Naked 1 or Naked 2. They were both staring at me and had lots to offer. All there colours were perfect and I could imagine wearing them all but I decided to try Naked 2. The colours were stood out and shimmered in the light so I could not resist it.
This palette comes with 12 beautiful shades which I think work well for natural eyes to a smokey effect. I also love the names of the shades, they add something fun and interesting to the palette. I can always remember which colours I used for what look just by remembering the names.

  • Foxy  is a yellow based nude. It shows up really lovely on your eyes, bare and light but makes the perfect eyebrow highlighter.
  • Half Baked is a bronze shimmer with a frosted finish and appears almost gold. Really pretty and perfectly pigmented.
  • Booty Call is a light pink shimmer almost matte shade with a frosted finish. Really great for making the eyes look bigger if worn on the inner corner of your eye.
  • Chopper is a copper shimmer with silver micro glitter and is very pigmented. This shade really stands out and looks great for people with blue eyes.
  • Tease is a creamy mauve-brown with a matte finish. It stands out lovely and is quite vibrant. I personally love this shade!
  • Snakebite is a dark bronze/brown with a golden shimmer finish. This shade is great for a smokey eye.
  • Suspect is a pale champagney beige with a frosted finish. This colour is so unique and is gorgeous - also very blendable and works with most of the shades.
  • Pistol is a light grey/brown with a frosted shimmer finish. This works really well with Verve.
  • Verve is a light gray with bare pink undertones and a shimmer finish. This is most likely my favourite shade is perfects a smokey eye look.
  • YDK is a copper bronze and brown shimmer with a metallic under lay. This colour is my second favourite and so pigmented.
  • Busted is a burgundy toned dark brown with a shimmer finish. Great to add definition and is very blendable.
  • Blackout is a very dark black with a matte finish. This is really pigmented and you don't have to apply a lot as it is very dramatic and really stands out.

All the shades in this palette are lovely! They are easy to wear and are so versatile. It's great to have a palette where I can open it up and decide if I want to look natural or have a smokey eye. I have so many favorites in this palette and they are so easy to apply.

Overall Thoughts?

I think judging from my statements, we all know my overall thoughts on this palette. All the shades in this palette are what I like to call PERFECT!  I really did not think any palette could be better then the Naked 3 palette but this palette just has the whole lot! My favourite thing about this palette is how pigmented it is. The pigmentation in the Naked 3 palette seems awful compared to this palette. The shimmery shades in this palette last so long without using primer and really show up well on the eyes. Since having this palette, I have been experimenting in wearing casual/natural smokey eye looks and I love it. These shades seem to really compliment my eyes and bring out my eye color so I am really enjoying this palette. I do not regret spending on this palette and I would also considering buying the Urban Decay Primers since using the samples that came in this palette and the Naked 3. This palette would be absolutely perfect for brides to be or proms.

Would I recommend this palette?? YES! 100%. This needs to be in every girls make up collection.

Thanks for reading as always and let me know in the comments below what your favourite shades are or if this has helped you decide if you should buy it or not. Your comments are really useful to me.

Valentines Gift Ideas for Him! | Daily Bow

Hello everybody! Before I start, I just want to comment on how fast last weekend has gone! I feel like I blink and it has disappeared. Anyway, it means we are getting closer and closer to the day of love and lovers....that's right...Valentine's Day. Now if you haven't already checked out my latest blog which shown you how to create a super cute Valentine's day inspired make up look then be sure to check it out...it may be useful to you. In this blog I am going to present you with a few nice gift ideas for the gentleman in your life...these ideas are based around that man being your boyfriend, fiance or Husband.

Valentine's day is a day to exchange tokens of affection with those who you love; so I thought I would shoot cupids arrow and help you find the gifts that will show him how much you care.

Gifts that will use his senses

Smell

A great gift to buy for men is after shave...or "man perfume" as I like to call it. There are lots of lovely scented fragrances for men on the market ranging from a lot of prices. Obviously the more of a high end brand it is, the more it will cost you. Remember that just because it's a big brand doesn't mean its going to smell great or last very long so do have a look at the cheaper scents as well. After browsing the men section in Boots, I have picked my favorite scent for men...it's the Paco Rabanne 1 Million for men. I am not joking, this scent is the most glorious thing you will ever smell! If you buy this for your handsome chap, then not only will he look good, but he will smell divine. This scent will send you crazy for him. Also comes in this really shiny gold bottle which is great for him to carry around or will look nice on his bathroom shelf. It's a spicy yet masculine scent. The smell I can imagine a rich man would smell like. This bottle comes in lots of different sizes which will accommodate your money and give him the perfect present.

See
Every man I know loves to watch films, or read books/magazines so why not buy him something he is going to really enjoy. A clever idea could be to buy your man a years magazines subscription, it's something useful and something he will want. My boyfriend tends to read a lot of hobby magazines so if I were to buy him a subscription I would pick out his favorite mag to make sure he never misses a copy. It's effectively a Valentine's gift that keeps on giving.

To order your mans favorite magazine subscriptions then click on the link below for more. This website offers really good discounts and offers that may be useful to you.
http://www.magazinesubscriptions.co.uk/

Perhaps if your man is not into magazines but is a keen reader then be sure to check out the top ten books for men which will be an interesting read for him.

Think of the films that your lover likes...does he like action? drama? horror? comedy? Whatever he is into I bet there is a film you can buy that he will enjoy. Buying a film also gives you something to on Valentine's night if you don't have any plans. Generally the cost of an average DVD is £11 depending on how long it has been out of the charts. Do not forget that instead of a movie, you could buy his favorite box set which will keep him quiet for a while.
Using the films that I know my boyfriend likes, I thought I would show you some examples of new chart toppers and some golden oldies. All DVD's shown below can be found using this link:
 http://direct.asda.com/on/demandware.store/Sites-ASDA-Site/default/Search-Show?q=alpha

If you are not sure what film to buy for your man then why not buy him a Netflix membership. Netflix is a fantastic website that offers unlimited films that you can watch through your TV or laptop for only £5.99 a month! (Or around that price). This is a great gift as it allows your partner to watch as many films as he wants from a wide range of choice! You never know, he may also let you watch one or two chick flicks from time to time. Perfect!

https://signup.netflix.com/
Hear

Think about what music your man likes to listen to and perhaps buy him an album of his favourite artists. Another thing that is really popular lately is buying vinyls. They look great as decorations, and if he has an old player then they sound superb!
An album that I recommend this week would be the "You Me At Six- Cavalier Youth" sound track. I'm a huge fan of this British band anyway and have been for a long time but this album is immense. It's a mixture for boys and girls, as the male song writers sing about things that men can relate to. Some remember able and excellent tracks which will have him singing away or playing his air guitar. Be sure to know that if he is a fan on this band and album then they are currently on tour which is an awesome present for someone.

http://www.youmeatsix.co.uk/cavalier-youth-tracklisting/

If your not sure what music he likes, or he already has one million albums then why not buy him an iTunes voucher. You can get the gift cards which have codes to type into iTunes and use the money to buy whatever music, podcasts and TV shows using the money provided on the card. These gift cards really help and any music lover will love you for this thoughtful gift.

https://www.apple.com/uk/itunes/

Touch

How about buy your man something to wear, like a nice shirt or some shoes that he likes. Fashion is often expensive but it's all about the bargain hunting! I'm quite lucky in that I basically pick what my boyfriend wears...unfortunately he has limited fashion sense and uses me as his guide...in other words, I buy the clothes and he wears them. But there is a limit to what he likes so I have to search a range of shops until I find the type of things he likes. If your like me then I recommend you do some online browsing to find any offers on clothes or sale items. For this section I am not going to link you to clothes, but I am going to link websites that currently have men's sales or offers.

  • River Island - http://www.riverisland.com/men/sale
  • New Look - http://www.newlook.com/shop/mens/mens-sale_30162
  • Topman - http://www.topman.com/?geoip=home
  • Matalan - http://www.matalan.co.uk/mens/offers/sale
  • Jd Sports - http://www.jdsports.co.uk/
However, if you are unsure of what clothes to pick for your partner then you could always take the easy yet thoughtful option of buying him a gift card. This way he can spend the money off the card when he likes on the clothes he wants to buy. There's nothing worse then buying someone something that they don't like or wear for the sake of it, so this year make sure it's something that he wants using this card. Often the gift cards are allowed to be used in many different clothing stores so it also gives him a lot of choice and variety.

Boot's offer a wide range of gift cards and this one can be found in store or online.

 Taste

Perhaps your lover is a bit of a sweet tooth, so why not buy him some ultra cute chocolate or sweets. I mean seriously..how can you go wrong with chocolate??? (best thing ever!) Why not treat him with some lovely cake? maybe you could even bake him one? Check out the latest deals at local supermarkets below and see what will tickle his fancy.

Asda

Ferrero Rocher Heart Box (10 pieces) £3

"I love you more then cake" chocolate cake £3
 Mini Heart's tin £2 (Bargain)

His and Her's Cupcakes £1.50 (Super sweet!)
Mr Kipling Fondest Fancies £1 (Pink and Pretty)

Belgian 4 Tier Luxury Chocolates £20.00 (interesting)
Luxury Belgian Chocolate £15.00
British Beer Trio £15.00 (Man heaven)

(Pictures not available)

You could even go extra special and bake him something home made. It show's that time and effort has gone into it and I'm sure he will be over the moon with whatever you bake.
Just to let you all know, that it is not essential to buy your partner anything this Valentine's day. A token of affection could simply be by spending time with him which is a gift in itself. Remember, that giving is not receiving and do not expect anything from your partner. If he's anything like my boyfriend then he will show you he loves and cares for you all year around and that's the only gift a girl needs. However, if he doe's treat you then make sure you appreciate it and have a lovely day/evening.

Valentines Make Up Look | Daily Bow

Hey everyone! So as you may know next Friday it's Valentines Day!!! The perfect day to spend time with the people you love...whether that be your partner, family or girly chums, it's the right time and place to dress up and feel glamorous!

Typically before a date on Valentines day, you go thorough the stages of panic..."do I look good enough?", "will he like me?", "does this dress look okay?"... So this year I thought that I would be your little helping hand and a guide to you for a quick and easy Valentines make up look that will for sure get his eyes all on you!

As this look is designed for Valentines Day I have decided to go for a cute pink eye look using my Naked 3 Palette. The best part about knowing an upcoming event is coming near is planning! Valentines Day is an essential day to plan your hair and make up depending on your occasion. Are you going for a drink with the girls? Are you going to the cinema or ice skating? Perhaps your boyfriend is taking you abseiling!!! Whatever the occasion I would recommend you use your favorite primer to conceal your make up which will last all night. When planning your make up, do not set your expectations to high and allow for mistakes. Valentines is probably the one night of the year where you want to look the best you ever have for your lover so don't feel disappointed if your make up, hair or clothing does not go to plan.

So lets begin...

To create this look I used the following:
Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette
Real Techniques/MAC brushes
Urban Decay eye primer
Collection 2000 Black liquid eyeliner
No7 Stay Perfect Foundation in the shade Calico
Elf baked blush
Elf eyebrow kit in the colour Ash
No7 Stay Perfect Long Lasting Volume
MUA pink lipstick in the shade Pink Pout

This look can also be achieved by using your own alternatives which suit you and your preferences.

Step One: To begin, I like to use my Real Techniques Foundation brush to apply my No7 Stay Perfect foundation all across my face until there's full coverage. Make sure to blend the foundation thoroughly into the skin until its smooth and does not leave patches...look out for patches around your chin, forehead and nose area. Your date may be a little put off by orange patches of foundation...especially around your neck.

Step Two: I then use my Urban Decay Eye Primer and spread it evenly across my eye lids using my middle finger. The eye primer really helps to set your eyeshadow and keep it looking fresh until the end of the day! The primer will help fight against sweat and bad weathers which will ruin your look...a smudged make up look will not be your finest look in life especially with a hunky man by your side.

Step Three: Firstly I applied the shade "Strange" using my blending brush all across my eye lid focusing mainly under my eye brow to highlight my eyes. On the outer corner of my eye I then apply the shade "Nooner" which creates a nice base colour and helps your eyes stand out. Once that is applied, I then using a smaller blending brush to apply the shade "Buzz" over the top of "Nooner". As Nooner is a matte shade it helps bring out the colour in Buzz as it is quite dusty and not as pigmented. To the inner corner of my eye I then apply the shade "Limit", this is another matte shade which will be the base of the shimmer shades. Apply it quite thick so it is more pigmented, this will really help lighten up your eyes and make them seem brighter. Using another small blending brush I then apply "Dust" thickly over the top of Limit which brings a really cute add of sparkle to eyes. This look is great as it is a mix of shimmer and matte shades in nice shades of pink, perfect for Valentines.

Step Four: Once my eyes are complete and looking sparkly, I then apply my black liquid eyeliner from the outer corner of my eye into the inner corner creating a cat eye finish. The added flick of the outer corner of your eye will help your eyes look bigger and your man will be amazed by your artistic skills. As an alternative you could use a soft black or brown eye liner pencil to create a smoother look, especially if your find the liquid liner to harsh or dark around your eyes. Then using my No7 Stay Perfect Mascara I apply my mascara to my top and bottom eye lashes creating more volume to the look and making my eyes look bigger and fuller. This mascara is perfect when using your eyes as a statement piece for any outfit. I also apply my Elf eyebrow kit in the colour "Ash" using my Real Techniques Brow Brush to define my eyebrows.Try not to go to over the top when coloring your brows as you do not want to look like you look angry on your date.

Step Five: Using my Mac blusher brush, I then apply my Elf Baked Blush and softly apply the blush to my cheeks at a diagonal point to make my cheek bones stand out. Don't over do it with the blusher as you don't want it to over power your eyes. Pink is lovely, but you don't want to look over the top. I would usually recommend using bronzer but date nerves may make you apply it a little to heavy and un-natural.

Step Six: To finish the look I then apply my lipstick which is the MUA Pink Pout. Its a lovely pink shade will be draw him to wanting to kiss you. The lipstick is soft, gentle and really finishes this look. Also you can apply lip gloss if you want to get more attention off him.

 Then....Ta Dahhhh! You are complete!

To finish the final look, I put on a pink dress and curled my hair. Pair your dress with some cute heel boots or flats and add some sparkly clips in your hair for the extra magic! Here is an example of what I like to wear below..

I hope you found this post useful and achieve the look you want for your Valentine! If you are single or things are complicated, do not worry...it's just another day! Don't feel upset or glum, focus on the people that are worth sharing your love with. However, if your going on a date or simply spending time with your boyfriend, fiance or husband then enjoy every moment!

Naked 3 Palette Make up look! | Daily Bow

Hello guys!
I hope you all had a fabulous weekend! I'm pretty tired from working the most of it but very very excited to post this new blog post. As you may know I recently brought the Naked 3 Palette by Urban Decay, and after fiddling with the colours I have found a few eye looks that I really like...here is one of them.

(made by Daily Bow)

Now the look I have chosen to write about is great as a smokey day or night look, it is versatile and the colours blend perfectly. I created this look by picking the colours I thought looked well together and came up with this lovely concoction.

To create this look I used the following:
Urban Decay Palette
Real Techniques/MAC brushes
Urban Decay eye primer
Natural Collection Lipstick in Pink Mallow
No7 Stay Perfect Foundation in the shade Calico
Elf baked blush
Elf eyebrow kit in the colour Ash
 Avon Black Eyeliner Pencil
No7 Stay Perfect Long Lasting Volume
Collection 2000 lipstick in Seduction

Step One: To begin, I like to use my Real Techniques Foundation brush to apply my No7 Stay Perfect foundation all across my face until there's full coverage. Make sure to blend the foundation thoroughly into the skin until its smooth and does not leave patches...look out for patches around your chin, forehead and nose area.

Step Two: I then use my Urban Decay Eye Primer and spread it evenly across my eye lids using my middle finger. The eye primer really helps to set your eyeshadow and keep it looking fresh until the end of the day! I really recommend this product especially if wearing heavy make up on a night out...it will last you until morning for sure.

Step Three: Using the Urban Decay Naked 3 palette I then apply the light and lovely shade which is "Stange" all over my eye lid, especially under my brow as it creates a perfect highlight and gives your eye a little lift. For this I use my Real Techniques Base Shadow brush as it applies it smoothly. Taking my accent brush I then use the shade "Black Heart" I apply it to the outer corners of my eye which is going to create the smokey affect. This shade is very pigmented so be careful when applying as you don't want it to dark...unless it's a nighttime look of course. I then change my brush for the Deluxe Crease Brush and evenly blend the darker colour into the middle of my eye making sure to not cover the eye as you need to leave space for the next shade. Once my darker shade is fully blended and smooth I then apply the shade "Dark side" to the middle of my eye, slightly over lapping the shade "Black Heart" using the Deluxe Crease Brush. Blend blend blend until it's how you like it. I then slightly apply the colour "Liar" to brighten up the look and make it all look smooth using my Urban Decay brush which came with the palette. To then soften the look, I apply the shade "Buzz" which is a delicate glittery pink shade which really helps brighten your eyes and make your pupils stand out. In the corner and bottom corner of my eye I then apply using my Urban Decay Brush the shade "Dust" which really helps make your eyes look bigger and brighter. Your eyes will stand out like diamonds! This look is a perfect smokey yet day time look and is very wearable.

Step Four: Once my eyes are complete and looking lovely, I then apply my black eye liner pencil from the outer corner of my eye into the inner corner creating a cat eye finish. It's a lot softer then using a gel or liquid eye liner when wearing it as a day time look, but I would recommend a gel eyeliner for a dark effect as a evening eye look. Then using my No7 Stay Perfect Mascara I apply my mascara to my top and bottom eye lashes creating more volume to the look and making my eyes look bigger and fuller. This mascara is perfect when using your eyes as a statement piece for any outfit. I also apply my Elf eyebrow kit in the colour "Ash" using my Real Techniques Brow Brush to define my eyebrows.

Step Five: Using my Mac blusher brush, I then apply my Elf Baked Blush and softly apply the blush to my cheeks at a diagonal point to make my cheek bones stand out. Don't over do it with the blusher as you don't want it to over power your eyes. Bronzer and High lighter are perfect to apply when wearing this as an evening look.

Step Six: To finish the look I then apply my favorite thing...lippy! The lipstick I have chose for the day time look is the Natural Collection Lipstick in Pink Mallow as it's really soft and natural making this look wearable in the day time. For the evening look, I like to use my Collection 2000 lipstick in Seduction as I feel it really stands out and makes you noticeable.

Then you are complete and beautiful!

The complete look!

Make your eyes stand out!
